Something in the Blue Mountains that sticks with you long after you’ve left. Less than two hours from the Sydney CBD along the Great Western Highway, the Blue Mountains is part of the UNESCO-listed Greater Blue Mountains region, a conservation area spanning more than a million hectares that stretches all the way to Wollemi National Park. It’s a blend of valleys, rainforest and rugged ridges home to over 400 species of Australian animals, including lyrebirds, wallabies and the occasional shy dingo.
